It is now necessary to visit the site daily to keep up with how quickly things are changing; windows come and go; the stonework rises around our new kitchen and toilet facilities; scaffolding appears by windows and the conservators are taking the first samples for the paintwork restoration. Whew!
I have been cycling up most mornings (weather dependent!) and taking a few snaps and making short videos. You can catch the latest video update below. The next phases will see me working with the stained glass conservators in York as the colours of our historic glass are renewed. Meanwhile, contractors move in to stabilise the stonework around the windows. Super stuff.
