Vacancy
As Revd Ruth leaves us, this Parish is going into a period called a Vacancy.  Your Church Wardens, Tony and Rosemary now have the responsibility of “keeping the show on the road” until such time as our future is decided by the Bishop Anna, Archdeacon Jonathan and Dean John.  We will do our best to keep everything going on as usual with the help of our newly commissioned Lay Worship Ministers (Juliet and Carol-ann) and of visiting clergy for services of Holy Communion.  Juliet will be in St John’s on Monday afternoons and Friday mornings to talk to anyone seeking help or spiritual advice and she can be contacted through [email protected].  Tony and Rosemary will be meeting in church every Monday morning at 9.30am and if you wish to raise anything to do with the churches, please see them then, or by arrangement via a message to [email protected].  Please help and support us with prayers and actions as we do our very best to keep the flame burning while we navigate these unfamiliar waters!

You can make a valuable and painless contribution to St John’s funds by using Easy Fund Raising every time you go shopping online.  Please investigate through https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/sjcs/.  (The wording does need updating, but the sentiment remains the same!)

Both St John’s Church and Holy innocents Copt Hewick open daily from 10am to 4pm
